Track 01
Fiona and Richard met in college at Columbia University's Model United Nations conference, where Fiona doesn't remember meeting Richard, because she was too tipsy (or he wasn't that memorable?).
They remained acquaintances after college, but then randomly (serendipitously), they found themselves in the same friend group that went to Ultra Music Festival in Miami. They had the best weekend of their lives and became close friends thereafter.
Eventually, Fiona moved to Boston for business school in the middle of a pandemic, and Richard tagged along to every single HBS party before waking up a few hours later to go work in the hospital. Her friends kept asking, "Who is this random guy?"
Richard was very persistent and sometimes charming, eventually breaking past Fiona's aloofness. After several rejections, miraculously, they became official (while hungover at a Momofuku in Vegas).
The rest is history: Richard survived residency and fellowship with Fiona by his side, Fiona took him to Taiwan where she fed him 10 meals a day, they created a home cocktail bar with its own menu, and (to Richard's chagrin) they got a sock-stealing labradoodle named J. Robert Oppenheimer II (Oppie for short).

For anyone not ready for the festival to end, we're taking #FiRiFest to Ibiza the Mon-Wed after. Plans will be pretty informal, but if you're interested in joining, message us directly!
Track 03
Hotel Santa Marta, our home base for the weekend and the site of the Friday welcome dinner.
The hotel has direct access to the beach, which is a protected cove with beautiful clear water! There are also water activities you can do — you can ask the Santa Marta beach club reception for more information.

Fly into Barcelona–El Prat (BCN), about 1 hour 15 min away. Girona (GRO) is a smaller, closer option.
From the airport: rental car, Uber, or train + taxi to Blanes.
Our hotel and wedding venues are close, but not walkable. We'll have shuttles!
Mid-May on the Costa Brava is warm days, cooler coastal evenings, roughly 15–24°C (60–75°F).
Bring a layer for the night, and shoes you can dance in.
Track 04
FiRiFest is the Fiona+Richard Festival! Our wedding may be the main act, but we wouldn't be here without all of our friends, family, and supporters, so our wedding festival is to also celebrate you guys.
Black tie optional for Saturday, but Ibiza chic for all other events. The ceremony is on garden paths with stairs and the party runs late, so choose shoes you can move and dance in.
Though we love your children, we would gently encourage you to bring your kids on the next trip instead. Children are welcome if you need to bring them, but please know that both the ceremony at Jardí Botànic Marimurtra and the reception at El Convent de Blanes are cliffside venues with limited seating, and attentive supervision is essential throughout. If necessary, we'll look into arranging a nanny service for the ceremony itself. If that would help your family, let us know in the RSVP form, and we'll keep you updated on details.
The sooner the better. We'll share the Hotel Santa Marta room block details here ASAP. The block is for Friday night and Saturday night, but please feel free to come earlier or stay longer at Hotel Santa Marta if you'd like and take advantage of the activities/pool/beach etc.
We're planning shuttles between Hotel Santa Marta and the venues. Details will be posted on The Logistics section once confirmed.
You traveling across the world to celebrate with us is the only gift we could ask for. If you'd still like to mark the occasion, a card we can keep or a donation to a cause of your choice would be great.
